Once you become a patient, we will verify your insurance benefits. During your initial visit, we will review your estimation of benefits and explain your coverage to you. This will be a quote of benefits from your insurance company, not a guarantee of payment. You are responsible for any balance that your insurance company does not cover including, but not limited to, your deductible, copay and coinsurance.
Knowing your health insurance benefits is your responsibility. Please contact your insurance company with any questions you may have regarding your coverage.
DOES THE CHICAGO CHIROPRACTOR TAKE MY INSURANCE?
The Chicago Chiropractor is a contracted in network provider with the Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice PPO. We also accept Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO and United PPO. We do not accept Medicare.
Many insurance plans cover Chiropractic care, Rehab and soft tissue/massage. We work with almost all insurance companies and will submit claims to your insurer. We also accept auto accident and workers compensation cases.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS IF I DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH INSURANCE?
Many of our patients choose not to submit to insurance for various reasons. We accept cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), and HAS as valid forms of payment. Payment is due at time of service.
DO YOU ACCEPT AUTO CLAIMS, WORKERS COMP, AND PERSONAL INJURY CASES?
We will submit claims for auto accidents, workers compensation and personal injury cases. Patients must provide a valid claim number and detailed information on where claims are to be submitted, including claims address, claims adjustor or contact name, and contact information.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR MY INITIAL VISIT?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment time even if you have filled out the online paperwork ahead of time. In order to submit to insurance, we must have additional forms filled out in the office at the time of your appointment.
Due to our integrative approach combining traditional Chiropractic Medicine, Functional Rehabilitation, Soft Tissue Techniques, and Brain Based Therapy, Dr. St Jean will conduct a comprehensive examination and history aimed to determine the underlying cause of your pain. Your first appointment will take between 60-90 minutes.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
Please bring any other pertinent testing results that you may have from previous care. Please wear comfortable or exercise type clothing to your appointment. For example, if you have a knee complaint, please wear shorts or loose pants rather than tight jeans or leggings. If you will need to change your clothing prior to your appointment, we have multiple private rooms available, however please allow extra time in order to do so.
HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE?
The initial appointment is scheduled for 60-90 minutes, depending on the complexity of your case. Follow-up visits are typically 47 minutes. Dr. St Jean maintains one of the only facilities in the city of Chicago where you are guaranteed to always be with the doctor – no assistants, techs, etc. This ensures the highest quality of care is rendered and that every detail of your treatment is carefully though out and executed by your physician.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Metered street parking is available on Clark Street, as well as the closest Cross Streets – Wrightwood and Deming. Side street parking WEST of Clark Street is NON-ZONED and free during daytime hours. Please read signs carefully. Valet parking is also available for $10 (Mon-Thr 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-1pm).
WHAT PUBLIC TRANSIT RUNS NEAR THE OFFICE?
The Broadway (#36) or Clark (#22) bus have stops right outside of our building at 2551 North Clark Street in Lincoln Park, Chicago. You can also take the Red/Brown/Purple trains to the Belmont stop, walk 1 block east and board the Clark (#22) bus heading south to our clinic.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We ask that you give us at least 48 hours notice when cancelling an appointment. If less than 48 hours notice is given, we will charge a $125 cancellation fee for follow-up appointments. If a new patient appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, the fee will be $300. Dr. St Jean maintains a waiting list to be seen and not showing up for appointments takes away from other patients who could have been seen during that time. Please be respectful of everyone’s time, including your own.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE A BALANCE AND DON’T PAY IT?
Payment is always due at the time of your consultation. For any late payments, a late fee of $10 per day will accumulate on the balance until paid in full. Please be respectful and plan your finances accordingly to pay for the care rendered.
Our policy is to email and call once per week to collect payment. If after 3 months we are unable to make contact with you or you have not communicated with the office directly, your bill for provided services in addition to accumulated late fees would be sent to collections.
